ROUGH CUT
FEEDBACK GIVEN BY CLIENT/WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO IMPROVE THE EDIT
1. Make it clear what Gem is doing/who he is (e.g. add a sign).
2. Have some narrative behind what Louis is doing
3. Make the star look more realistic
4. Make blood come out after the star has been thrown
FEEDBACK 1
In the rough cut, we are just shown Gem as the father at the start, however the audience is unable to tell who he is and why he is preaching. So, we changed this by having our edits have some form of text either at the start or on the clip to tell the audience who he is.
FEEDBACK 2
In the rough cut, we are shown Louis (BreadWard) randomly appearing and not speaking at all. So, we changed this by filming extra footage to shown interaction between the characters.
FEEDBACK 3
In the rough cut, we are shown Louis (BreadWard) throwing a star at Martin (YoungMan). To avoid any injury towards Martin, we decided to use a star made out of paper. However, when viewing this, it does not look realistic enough to be considered a sfx.
So, we changed this, by adding extra footage to portray a different sfx due to the limit in time we had to buy anything to make the star look more realistic (e.g. paint). The sfx we decided to do instead was to show Louis (BreadWard's) hands covered in fake blood.
FEEDBACK 4
In the rough cut, we are shown Louis (BreadWard) throwing a star at Martin (YoungMan). To avoid any injury towards Martin, we decided to use a star made out of paper. However, when viewing this, it does not look realistic enough to be considered a sfx.
So, we attempted to use visual effects to make it look as though blood has come out from Martin's body. However, this did not look realistic/did not give off the desired effect.
